Despite their predator-prey dynamic, the relationship between the Dooblers and the Shroomergoobs is actually mutually beneficial. The Shroomergoobs keep the Dooblers in good health by consuming harmful parasites and diseases that may enter their bodies, and the Dooblers give the Shroomergoobs food. The Shroomergoobs usually end up fully consuming their Dooblers within 400 years, well past most Dooblers' deaths.
